PieceTrail Privacy Policy

PieceTrail is an offline tool for planning and following cuts for rectangular quilt pieces. You do not need an account.
Your data on your iPhone
PieceTrail stores your fabric settings, piece list and cutting position in the app’s local storage so you can continue later. It does not send this information to us. The app has no advertising, analytics, tracking SDKs or app cloud sync.
Keeping and removing local data
The app keeps one active session. Starting a new plan clears the active list and cutting position after the new session is saved, while retaining your fabric width, size basis and seam setting.
If a saved file cannot be opened, PieceTrail keeps it unchanged. If you confirm starting again, it first preserves a local copy and then creates a fresh session. These copies remain in the app’s local storage; the app cannot restore them. Starting a new plan does not remove the copies.
Delete PieceTrail, rather than Offload App, to remove the app and its local session and unreadable-file copies. Offloading keeps documents and data. Your iPhone’s system backups may include app data, depending on your settings. Manage existing device or iCloud backups separately.
When you open this website
This public support and privacy website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. When you choose to open it, Cloudflare may process standard web request data, such as your IP address, requested URL, request time and browser information, to deliver and protect the website. Opening the website does not send your app’s saved plans. Cloudflare’s processing and retention are described in its privacy policy.
If you contact support
Email is optional and opens your email app. We receive your email address, message, any sender name your email app includes, and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information only to respond to your support request, not for marketing or analytics.
We keep support correspondence only while it is needed to handle your request, then delete it. You can also email us to request deletion of your support correspondence.
Support messages pass through your email provider and our Gmail inbox. These providers process messages and related service data under their own policies; see Google’s privacy policy for Gmail. Our deletion of correspondence does not control copies or service data retained by email providers under their policies.
Policy updates
If PieceTrail’s data practices change, this policy will be updated to describe them.
